Archery for All
In partnership with Down Range and the Chico Area Recreation District, Archery for All is available every third Sunday of the month.

Cycling
Hand Cycling is available throughout the year in coordination with many of our regional partners.

Waterski Workshops
Our waterski team provides access and opportunities for regional waterski workshops throughout the summer for all ages.

Ropes Course
In partnership with Odyssey for Youth, we offer ropes course expereinces to boost confidence, team-building, independence and fun.

Adapted Sports Education
Adpated Sports educational opportunies are available for schools and other groups to learn about the adpated sports experience.

Summer Camps
Ability First Sports hosts an annual summer camp for youth with disbilities as well as partners with other youth camps at other locations.

Ability First Camp Information

  • Ability First is a wheelchair sports camp designed to provide instructional/recreational sports opportunities to youth with physical disabilities.
  • Sports range from the beginner through both the junior and national levels of athletic competition:
  • Adapted Aquatics
  • Basketball
  • Cycling
  • Quad Rugby
  • Rock Climbing
  • Soccer
  • Track and Field
  • Tennis
  • Water skiing.
  • Evening programs are designed to provide opportunities for leisure and social activities.
  • Instilling confidence is a main goal of Ability First, says Eric Snedeker, the Camp Director.”We want these kids to go away with the skills that will help them face the obstacles, hardships, and challenges they will face in todays world.”
