DRagan Tutors was founded as a result of my desire to teach struggling readers the skills they need to improve academic performance, enhance reading enjoyment, and increase self-confidence. As a former special education teacher, I am passionate about helping each student achieve his or her potential and believe strongly in recognizing and appreciating each child’s unique strengths in order to support them on their path to success.

Teaching Method:
DRagan Tutors specializes in providing reading intervention and remediation using the Orton-Gillingham-based Barton Reading and Spelling System®. The latest research and teacher and parent testimonials confirm that this structured, sequential, multisensory technique is highly effective for students with language-based reading disabilities such as dyslexia.

I’m also trained and experienced in using the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LiPS) program for those students who require help improving their auditory discrimination skills before beginning the Barton system.
