Peer Support and Parent Professional Collaboration

#2 of 4 in this series to better prepare First 5 Family Partners in serving serve Santa Clara County families that have a child with special needs.  

1. Parent Support Groups
2. Better ways of working with families: Health Care Workers, Therapists, Educators, and others.
3. Participants will have a working knowledge of what are the pre-requisites for Family Centered Care:  the principles of parent / professional collaboration and how to incorporate them into successfully navigating the systems of care, and indicators for cultural competence.

5. How to refer to SARC, IHHS, and other community agencies.
