Although story time has always been intended for all children, the librarians have made a number of modifications to make “Inclusive Story Times” more accessible for children with disabilities. These consist of:

• Using a pictorial schedule to help children with the many transitions involved in story time
• Reading adapted books that help match words with pictures so children have a more active role in the reading
• Creating a defined space through using carpet squares to make it easier for children to sit in a group

This event will be a two locations:
