Kidpower prepares people of all ages, abilities, and walks of life with training, resources, and skills to prevent and stop bullying, abuse, kidnapping, prejudice, and sexual assault

Kidpower offers a wide range of upbeat, effective workshops, literature, and educational programs to prevent violence, bullying, and abuse and build self-esteem. Kidpower works with children, adults, teens, special needs groups, and professionals. Skills are taught in a way that is not scary or overwhelming, but that is positive and respects people¹s learning process.

Since 1989, Kidpower’s experiential, strengths-based approach has made our social-emotional safety skills accessible for adults, teens, and children with diverse physical, cognitive, developmental, and neurological abilities.

Working together with students – and often with parents, caregivers, educators, service providers, and other allies – we focus on people’s unique capacities and intelligences as well as on the strengths of their communities, cultures, and families.

In our workshops we ensure that students successfully practice each idea presented, building confidence and competence, developing skills in students’ bodies as well as in their minds. Skills and methods are age-appropriate and relevant to participants’ life-situation. Kidpower specializes in programs that are adaptive to people of all ages, cultures, abilities, and backgrounds. www.kidpower.org offers a free library of articles on a number of safety-related topics, workshop information, as well as teaching kits, books, and other materials available for purchase.

Our workshop and curriculum are adaptive to any and all life circumstances, including special needs (domestic violence, sexual assault, abuse, high risk groups), disability (all mental, emotional, and physical), and elderly. We work with organizations, schools, agencies, centers
