Lane’s Learning Center offers a supportive atmosphere, meeting the individual needs of children and adults who experience difficulty in learning.

Stimulating the interest of a student so they enjoy school and studying is a goal.

Michele Lane is a board certified educational therapist with more than 35 years of teaching experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. Michele has owned and operated her private practice called Lane’s Learning Center in Novato for 35 years. She continues to provide parents and educators with consultation, assessment, and guidance in dealing with complex learning issues.

In 1979, Michele was one of the founders of Marin Educators in Private Practice in Marin County and  she has served on the Board of Directors as Vice President. Today this group provides consultation and referral for students and parents seeking educational therapy, tutoring, or educational services. Originally Marin Educators in Private Practice was created as a means to share information and expertise, to support each other, and to promote private practice services.

Michele joined AET in 1987 where she found like-minded educators who sought a rewarding career in educational therapy. She served as a co-leader on the AET Board of Directors from 2005-2007 as a Professional Directory Chair and the AET Regional Study Group Director in Marin County. To this day, Michele is very active and she enjoys teaching and assessing children and adults in a one to one settings.

Specialties include serving children and adults with learning disabilities and attention deficits.
