Getting Started and Learning Advocacy Skills
This workshop is for all levels; beginning through advanced.
Do you want to learn effective advocacy Skills?
Why do you need to learn about Advocacy?
"Effective advocacy comes from research, planning and preparation." Says Peter Wright, author of the book; From Emotions to Advocacy, Second Edition.
We will start at the beginning of the book and month by month work through to learn advocacy skills.
Take home copies of the slide show and handouts that accompany the topics covered.
Coffee, Tea and a light dessert will be offered. Your donation of a snack is welcomed.
The room remains open from 9-10pm for connecting and networking with other parents in your community. You may find it helpful to share your current questions and concerns with other members during this time or just to listen to the discussions that occur. Some parents find other parents in their district to connect with for support.
