(Central) Auditory Processing Disorder and Auditory Neuropathy: Non-Traditional Hearing Loss and Children who are Deaf-Blind

Sat, Apr 26, 2008: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

California Deaf-Blind Services announces an exciting one-day workshop of interest to educators, therapists, program administrators and family members.

Children who are deaf-blind and have Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) or auditory neuropathy (AN) differ from children who are deaf-blind as the result of sensorineural or conductive type of hearing impairment: the more "traditional" type of deaf-blindness.

Workshop presented by Jim Durkel, Texas Deafblind Project
