Assistive Technology Consideration, Assessment and Implementation ‐ Putting the Pieces Together. (Ages 3‐22)

Thu, Apr 22, 2010: 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

This conference will provide the participant with information and resources to simplify the process of considering, assessing, acquiring, implementing and monitoring assistive technology in the school setting. Useful templates, forms and checklists will be provided as well as opportunities to examine case studies, roleplay and participate in mock IEP meetings. Those who have attended our previous conference days will find their additional knowledge of AT useful during this conference, but this is not a requirement and anyone may register.

CEUs will be available through San Jose State University. Each conference, at five hours seat time, is .5 credits. Up to 2 credits may be earned for attendance at all four conferences. Forms will be available the day of the conference and must be completed and submitted with payment on each conference day.

Check or credit card only. No P.O.s will be accepted. No refunds; however you may send a substitute in your absence or attend a remaining conference in the series, space permitting.

Lunch is on your own (45 min.). You may either bring your lunch and eat in our cafeteria style kitchen (vending machine snacks available), or make a quick trip to a nearby sandwich/fast food shop.
