What are the goals of the program?

The goals of the “Sharing the Journey” workshop series are to educate, support, and empower parents of children dealing with a new diagnosis or who are entering unfamiliar systems of care. The aim of the program is to help them build links and learn to navigate community support systems, while having the opportunity to meet and interact, support and learn from other parents.

What will the workshops cover each week?

Week 1: Welcome- Sharing the Journey

Week 2: Understanding Parent Grieving States

Week 3: From Collaboration to "Developing a Model of Trust"

Week 4: Getting Organized: Medical Home Notebook

Week 5: Family Dinner and Social

Week 6: On the Road

Registration is required! Childcare is Provided!

 Cost: $25 for non-members per family & $15 for PHP members per family
*Funding through RegionalCenter may be available. PHP’svendor code is ZS0105.
 Financial support is available if needed.
