Not All ABA is Alike! Building Quality Education in Homes and Schools

Fri, Sep 17, 2010: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Presented by: Ronald Leaf, Ph.D.

Years of research and clinical applications have produced an abundance of behaviorally based intervention programs for children with autism. Though all are under the umbrellas of ABA, divergent directions in philosophy, conceptualization and application have often occurred. This has created tremendous confusion for parents and professionals alike. Most important, it has compromised the effectiveness of education for children. This workshop will focus on the components of intervention that are critical so that children can make meaningful benefit. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have amazing potential. With "quality" ABA,children are enjoying an extremely high quality of life. Learning to communicate, play and develop meaningful friendships is not just a dream but can be a reality!
