National Center for Vision and Child Development

NCVCD gets calls from parents all around the country, and they have a comprehensive knowledge base of programs and services nation-wide. NCVCD also puts out some delightful booklets: two
of my favorites are "Pathways to Independence" about the development of mobility in visually impaired infants, and "Getting In Touch With Play", about designing outdoor play spaces
for children with low vision. NCVCD also puts out videotapes for professionals and parents, as well as an informative newsletter, " En Vision", that is free to parents.
