Sharing The Journey

"Sharing the Journey" is a  program at PHP that provides parents of children with recently diagnosed or suspected conditions a 6-week series of parent education, information and support workshops.

In addition to obtaining a better understanding of the road they are on and the emotional processes they face, parents will learn about available community supports, navigating social service systems and will be provided with a tool for understanding systems of care and organizing their child’s medical, educational and other documents (Medical Home Notebook).

The goal of the Sharing the Journey series is to educate, support, and empower parents of children dealing with a new diagnosis or who are entering unfamiliar systems of care. The aim of the program is to help parents build links and learn to navigate community support systems, while having the opportunity to meet and interact, support and learn from other parents.

PHP offers the "Sharing the Journey" workshop series in English, Spanish and Vietnamese languages.

We hope that you will consider oining one of these sessions and getting to know both PHP and other families facing a similar journey.
