The PHP Autism Spectrum Disorders Biomedical Discussion Group meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 7-9:30pm. (We do take a break during one of the summer months and in December.)
This support group is for parents interested in exploring biomedical treatments for autism spectrum disorders (ASD), including PDD and Aspergers. The parents in our group have a wide range of experience dealing with some of the underlying physical problems associated with ASD, from digestive and neurological problems to special diets and nutritional supplementation.
Topics of discussion can include: how and why dietary interventions work; testing; finding the right health care; the biochemistry of autism; new treatments; how to get started; underlying immune issues; allergies; and chelation. We also have guest speakers throughout year.
