The Leading Mental Health Hospital in San Jose, California

At San Jose Behavioral Health, we understand how difficult it can be to finally make the decision to get help for a mental or behavioral health issue. We appreciate the courage that is demonstrated by each person who chooses to get help, and we are committed to ensuring that each man or woman who heals with us has a positive experience throughout his or her time in our program.

This commitment begins with our admissions process. We have worked diligently to eliminate the stresses and frustrations from this process and replace them with an efficient and effective experience in which prospective patients and their families have the information, guidance, and support that they need every step of the way.

Starting this process is as simple as making one phone call. When a prospective patient or family member calls (669) 234-5959, he or she will reach a friendly and knowledgeable member of our intake staff. This representative will conduct an initial screening over the phone to ensure that the San Jose Behavioral Health is the right place for the prospective patient. Our intake staff can be reached by phone any time, day or night, and they are able to conduct assessments 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If a prospective patient desires, he or she can also begin the admissions process by coming to our center. We are always prepared to conduct pre-admissions assessments on a walk-in basis.

Part of the initial assessment will involve ensuring that the prospective patient meets our criteria for admissions. San Jose Behavioral Health is designed for adult men and women, as well as adolescents, who are have been struggling with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues, including but not limited to the following:

  • Schizophrenia
  • Schizoaffective disorder
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Adjustment disorders
  • Depressive disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Aggression
  • Psychosis
  • Homicidal Ideation
  • Suicidal Ideation

If our pre-admissions assessment determines that San Jose Behavioral Health is not the ideal placement for the prospective patient, we will of course provide referrals to other programs that may be better suited to meeting the individual’s specific needs.
