January 22, 2020 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM
Learn, alongside others who share your struggles, how to manage anxiety, stress, and reduce overwhelm.
Parenting in the best of circumstances is marked by numerous responsibilities and pressures. Add to it the additional concerns that come with having a child with special needs and the task can feel overwhelming. You are not alone!
Led by Laura Beth DeHority, licensed MFT, you will be part of a small group of parents/primary caregivers who want to improve their outlook and lives as parents of a child with special needs. At each of the six sessions, Laura Beth will present a new topic for increasing your capacity for positive parenting and self-care. There will be time to share and learn from the other members of the group as you connect to people with shared difficulties and joys. The focus will be on parents whose child(ren) is any age and has any diagnosis.
This is a 6-week series on Wednesday evenings and attendees need to register to attend. Participants attending all of the sessions will gain the most benefit. Be mindful that this is a multi-week commitment to benefit your own mental health; start the new year off by doing something for yourself!
