Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a federal program designed to help people over 65, people who are blind, or people with disabilities (including children) by providing them with financial assistance to cover basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter.

This Parents Helping Parents training is aimed at parents of children or adults with disabilities who want to apply for their loved one’s SSI and provide them with what they need to get ahead. Adults who want to apply for themselves to be as independent as possible are also welcome, as are professionals who want to know what applying for this public benefit is like. This seminar is presented by a PHP community resource specialist, is completely free of charge and is presented in the English language.

Join us for this discussion to increase your chances of a positive outcome.

We will cover the following topics:

What is the Impairment Information list?
Can I work and get SSI at the same time?
If I am not eligible, are there other Public Benefits?
Other public benefits
