June 12, 2023 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Does your child have an IEP? Or is your child being evaluated for special education services? If so, it’s important to know that you and your child have rights and protections during this process. They’re called procedural safeguards.

Procedural safeguards don’t specify what services should be in the IEP; instead, they describe the ground rules for how you’ll work with the school.

This 2-part workshop aims to empower you to become active partners in developing your child’s educational program by helping you understand the 10 crucial procedural safeguards and what they mean for you and your child. Do not forget to register for part 2 on June 13, 2023, at 6:30 pm.

This online presentation is for parents with children ages 3 to 21 who have an IEP. Also, for professionals that work with children that receive special education services. The workshop is presented in Engish.

Presented in collaboration with Parents Helping Parents and EPU Children Center. All agencies will collect your registration data from Exceptional Parents Unlimited and/or Parents Helping Parents Inc. Privacy and confidentiality are taken seriously; the privacy policy is on the websites.
