May 18, 2022 7:00pm to 8:30pm
In partnership with Los Altos Women’s Caucus, Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation presents a series of online Community Conversations focusing on the pandemic’s disproportionate effects on women. We will continue our discussion about the pandemic’s disproportionate effect on women and its K-shaped recovery, in which segments of our local population are further left behind. In this conversation, we will be providing a voice to service sector workers, gig employees and freelancers, and small business owners. We will devote particular attention to the experiences of Latinas working in these sectors. Panelists will include María Marroquín, Executive Director, Day Worker Center of Mountain View, Dr. Linda Prieto, Executive Director, Upward Scholars, and Gabriela Chavez-Lopez, Founding Executive Director, Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley. IdaRose Sylvester, Executive Director, Appetite for Good, will moderate.
This event is available in English and Spanish.
