Productive IEP Meetings:  Working Together As A Team

This very practical training will provide parents with tips on how to work cooperatively in developing the best educational plan for their child. Participants will learn how to plan ahead, be informed, participate fully, and think creatively. Strategies for IEP team members in working as a team and finding sources of resistance and breaking through impasse.

Our speaker, Nina Meierding, has been involved with special education for over 40 years, as a special education teacher, an attorney for children with disabilities, a mediator for the California State Department of Education, a mediation partner and consultant for the Wisconsin Special Education System, and as a national trainer of parents and districts focusing on working together, maintaining positive relationships and crafting creative plans for children with special needs.
