Individuals with developmental disabilities suffer one of the highest rates of crimes involving interpersonal violence, such as physical or sexual assault.

For caregivers and professionals working with Special Needs Youth and Adults to understand the risks for their loved one becoming a victim of abuse and how to reduce the risk, and what to do if it tragically happens.

Dr. Baladerian is a clinical psychologist living in Los Angeles where she has a private practice focusing on trauma and abuse. Earlier this year, she was featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, From the Frontlines of a Sexual Assault Epidemic. She is the Project Director of CAN DO! (Child Abuse & Neglect Disability Outreach Project, under ARC Riverside.)
