Sibshops is a program just for brothers and sisters of children with special needs. The goal is to address the needs of siblings by allowing them to share, play and learn with other children through relevant, age-appropriate fun activities in a safe, nurturing environment.
At each Sibshop, brothers and sisters will:
- Play Games, Make Crafts
- Share lunch
- Socialize with other Sibs
- Participate in a facilitated conversation about their Sib-related experiences
- Make new friends
- Learn that they are not alone
Who attends Sibshops? Sibshops are for typically developing 8 to 12 years old brothers and sisters of children who have special needs.
Who facilitates Sibshops? Sibshops are run by PHP staff and volunteers.
What is Provided? Sibshops are a lively mixture of games, discussion, crafts, and pizza. Participants should dress comfortably and casually.
When are Sibshops? Sibshops are usually held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Check schedule on-line for any changes. They are held every month during the school year. No Sibshops in July and August.

Cost: $20 for Paid PHP Members/$30 for non-members.
Fee per family offsets the cost of lunch and supplies at each Sibshops. As always, financial assistance is available.
