Everywhere you look these days, there seems to be conflict. For caregivers, this creates extra layers of work for us as we strive to keep ourselves and our families shielded from the anxiety and chaos in the wake.  What we need are skills.

Over the next 9 weeks, we will be taking a peaceful and insightful stroll through the landmines of the everyday conversation in these challenging and uncertain times. Each session will begin with a few minutes of insight followed by time for the group to work together on the skills discussed at the beginning. Come each week or drop in when you can.

Session Six:  Building our Skills-Creating Safety as Conversations Hit Previously Uncharted Waters
WatersUp to now, we have learned what a crucial conversation looks like and the skills to contain the dialogue to the point where everyone has safety with a difficult subject.

The group is facilitated by Laura Beth DeHority, LMFT, parent to special needs young adults, and former corporate communicator. Her goal is to establish practical skills to lower parental stress in a time period unlike any other.

This program is funded by The County of Santa Clara and El Camino Healthcare District.
