Teen Therapy Center is a private mental health clinic dedicated to providing help and support to teens and their families. To best fit your schedule, we see clients daily including evenings and weekends.

Here are some key areas where we can make a difference for teens:

  • Provide strategies to reduce anxiety, stress, depression, hopelessness, or self-doubt

  • Motivate teens to find safe, healthy coping skills to replace unhealthy coping skills such as self-harm behaviors, and sexual acting out

  • Assist teens to improve self-esteem and gain a sense of belonging, competence and responsibility

  • Guide teens in learning how to manage anger or control impulsive behavior

  • Work with teens to learn how to cope with traumatic events such as death of a loved one or physical/sexual abuse

  • Help teens learn to express themselves appropriately and to improve communication

  • Support teens in learning how to manage difficult changes in the family or community

  • Provide teens with renewed hope and optimism

With so many temptations and choices, a teen can benefit from help to sort through feelings, values, and goals with guidance from a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist.

SERVICES

Behavioral Medicine at Teen Therapy Center is a modern approach to mental health care which was created to addresses the mental health care needs of the broader community. While mental health care delivery models have historically served various ages and behavioral health issues in disparate clinical programs, Teen Therapy Center’s Behavioral Medicine Department offers a novel family-and-community-wide approach to behavioral health under one roof.

Acknowledging the complexity of human behavior throughout the lifespan, Behavioral Medicine provides neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and mental-psychiatric health care for teens ages 12 to 19.

Led by Makenzie Wesner, a Behavioral Nurse Practitioner with exhaustive experience in child development and behavior with the guidance of Dr. Manoj Waikar, a second-opinion expert in adolescent and adult psychiatry, Behavioral Medicine is able to offer the comprehensive care for families that providers often fall short of: high-quality early childhood to young adult mental health care that includes a comprehensive and holistic analysis of strengths and challenges, diagnostics, and actionable treatment plans.
