ALTA – Academic Language Therapy Association
The Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) is the professional credentialing organization for those trained in Multisensory Structured Language Education and Therapy. ALTA Certified Academic Language Therapists and Certified Academic Language Practitioners provide effective, evidence-based reading and writing instruction to individuals with dyslexia and related learning disabilities.
ALTA is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization based in the United States of America, incorporated in 1986, with nearly 4,000 members. Certified ALTA members have met rigorous training requirements, have passed the national Academic Language Therapy Association Competency Exam for Multisensory Structured Language Education and maintain high ethical standards.
