The mission and vision of Parents Helping Parents is straightforward….
- We envision a world where individuals of all abilities are valued, respected, and included.
- We want families to be filled with hope and optimism about their loved ones.
- We share knowledge and skills to create meaningful opportunities and plan for a secure future.
- We value diversity and endeavor to have our staff, board, volunteers, and donors reflect the community we serve.
With 40+ years of supporting families, our experienced staff members have a national reputation for being a trusted source of information for helping parents, caregivers, and children with special needs.
At Parents Helping Parents, we believe that together we can change the world, one person at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time.
The PHP mission and vision guide us in all that we do. WE offer a robust menu of services and programs: 1:1 guidance, webinars, and online learning on special education, public benefits, assistive technology, and more.
PHP organizes support and information by age of child: Early Childhood, Youth & Teens, and Adults.

PHP advocates for systems change in the disability community, provides you with the most relevant, up-to-date information in the most accessible way possible, and empowers parents, caregivers, and professionals to be the most informed and confident as possible.
PHP staff members know what it’s like to have a child with a disability. Most staff members are parents of children with mild to severe disabilities and special needs. We understand how complex and sometimes overwhelming it is to find what you need for you, your child, and your entire family. Since 1976, we have empowered tens of thousands of families like yours.
