America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM

America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM (AJCC) is your one-stop shop for workforce services, providing a comprehensive range of no-cost employment and training services for employers and job seekers. AJCC is a collaboration of local, state, private, and public entities that provide comprehensive and innovative employment services and resources to meet the needs of the California workforce.

Nearly 2,400 AJCs nationwide help people search for jobs, find training, and answer other employment related questions.

The America’s Job Center of California (also called Career One Stop) is another place
where you may be able to learn job skills and find a CIE. AJCCs may offer:
• Development of an individual employment plan
• Individual counseling
• Career planning
• Short-term job training
• Internships and work experiences at the kind of job you want
• Getting ready to be part of the workforce
• Job skills training
• Creating a resume
• Dressing for success
• Help with job searching

Online Resources

The following are resources to help you get started with your job search, find training, or file a claim for Unemployment Insurance (UI), Disability Insurance (DI), or Paid Family Leave (PFL).

  • Employment Development Department (EDD): The EDD provides many resources for job seekers (including veterans, youth, dislocated workers, and people with disabilities), employees, and employers including payroll tax information, labor market information, UI information, DI information, and more.
  • CalJOBSSM: Job seekers can create résumés that can be seen by employers, search the full-service employment center for job openings, look for training or educational programs, and much more.
  • Debit Card Account: The EDD uses the debit card from Bank of America to deliver benefit payments for all EDD benefit programs including DI, PFL, and UI.
