Our Services
Our wide range of services was designed specifically to assist the community in achieving the best in their independent lifestyle options. Having carefully considered many offerings, we have assembled a variety of core assistive services, which are infused with modern technology, to help those in need.
We provide the following services to persons with disabilities who live in the counties of Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito. Additionally, CCCIL runs the New Options Traumatic Brain Injury Program, one of seven (7) such sites in California. Please contact us today to discuss your goals and needs. Information and Referral
CCCIL provides information on a wide range of topics related to disabilities and connects people to additional resources that provide services they are seeking. CCCIL also provides information to community agencies about how they can make their services more accessible to people with disabilities.
Individual and Systems Change Advocacy
Assistance to persons with disabilities in gaining access to financial and medical benefits and other services for which they may be eligible.
Benefits Assistance
Assistance in applying for federal, state, and county benefit programs.
Benefits Counseling
CCCIL employs its expertise in problem solving and advocacy, benefits analysis and advisement, and benefits support planning to help consumers understand the benefits to which they are entitled. CCCIL also helps manage the overall benefits process on behalf of clients.
Housing Assistance
Self-advocacy training in how to look for accessible, affordable and available housing, and about removal of architectural barriers. Assistance in applying for available/affordable/accessible housing.
Personal Assistance Services
Consumers receive guidance regarding programs, rights and procedures, personal assistant recruitment, hiring and management, and registry/referral information.
Peer Support
CCCIL provides ongoing peer support, guidance, and encouragement. We assist persons with disabilities to develop, clarify, and achieve their independent living goals (includes Independent Living Plan (ILP) development and work).
Independent Living Skills Training
CCCIL provides Independent Living Skills training and support in a variety of areas such as organization, time management, creating support systems, and other topics in order to develop social and organizational skills needed to live more independently.
Assistive Technology
Assistive Technology is any adaptive device used by a person with a disability to function independently in activities of daily living. CCCIL provides AT Information and Referral services, Education/Outreach, and Case Service Coordination to the community in the tri-county area.
Outreach
CCCIL conducts outreach through a variety of methods such as attendance at events, conducting presentations, attending community meetings, and utilizing media to connect people with disabilities to CCCIL who may benefit from our services.
Education
CCCIL provides disability awareness, education, and training to consumers, service providers, and the community-at-large through presentations and participation in community meetings and events. CCCIL also provides technical assistance on how to make services more accessible to persons with disabilities.
