Champion Summer Camp is pleased to offer Inspiring Champions, a fully-integrated camp participation opportunity for non-typically developing boys and girls. The goal for campers in this program is simple – TO HAVE A GREAT TIME AT CAMP!
Champion Summer Camp is all about providing happy and healthy summer fun through a blend of sports, games, arts & crafts, field trips, and special camp contests. Kids at Champion are divided into groups (approximately 15 kids) of the same age and same gender. Each group at camp is led by a team which consists of an Executive Counselor, a Counselor, and often a Counselor In Training (present in groups with kids ages 8 and below). The Counselor Team and kids in each group stay the same over the course of a session. Each group has space for 1 Inspiring Champions camper to be fully-included in all group activities.
Is Inspiring Champions The Right Choice For Your Child?
Every day at Champion will be physically-active and socially-engaging for the participants involved. Given the energetic environment and the wide variety of activities that Champion offers, characteristics for Inspiring Champion candidates include:
  • The ability to independently mainstream into a group of 15 typical kids.
  • A demonstrated interest in playing sports and/or participating in other high-energy activities.
  • A friendly disposition and a desire to engage in social situations.
  • The ability to make it through a physically active full day (6 hours of outdoor play).
To take the next step, please send an e-mail (with subject line “Inspiring Champions Inquiry”) to Tony Basso, Executive Director, at [email protected]. Tony will then follow up with you to initiate a discussion that covers more specifics about the Inspiring Champions program.
