We are a private speech and language therapy practice providing group and individual therapy to children living in the Silicon Valley. We provide play-based learning in a naturalistic environment. We believe learning should be fun!
Scope of practice: Focus on early childhood, through age 6. Specializes in social communication groups for children with social language deficits, or challenges interacting with peers.
About Debby: My goal is for each child to develop the social confidence and awareness necessary for social and communication success. I base my therapy on fun-based learning in a naturalistic environment. My approach with the children is based on 30+ years of speech/language therapy experience, my experience as a parent and preschool teacher, and my degree in psychology. I truly love seeing the children blossom and develop a feeling of success in their language growth, their ability to communicate and develop interpersonal relationships, and develop pride in a “job well done.” The feeling of success breeds more success; I stress the positive feelings of self-worth, success and friendliness in each interaction. I combine music, movement and creativity to encourage positive social interaction. The children have fun at “Communication Clubhouse” and feel the positive effects of successful interaction.
