Devereux
Devereux is one of the oldest and largest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare in the country. Across its national network, Devereux partners with families, schools and communities in order to help some of our nation’s most vulnerable individuals achieve happiness and personal fulfillment. We provide a continuum of care for children, adolescents and adults faced with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and mental health challenges, including psychiatric hospitals, residential and day treatment programs, community-based group homes, respite care programs, supervised apartments, foster care homes, special education day schools, and vocational and pre-vocational training. These programs and services positively impact the lives of thousands of individuals, and their families, each year.
Devereux is a leader in the use of evidence-based practices to support specific populations of children and youth in need, including children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders, children and transition-aged adolescents on the autism spectrum, LGBT youth, and victims of child sexual exploitation and other trauma-inducing experiences. Devereux also provides services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a variety of employment, recreational and community-centered activities. Devereux’s extensive array of services enables us to provide many service options ranging from intensive residential treatment programs and inpatient and outpatient services, to community-based services, group homes, individualized family services, day schools, employment programs, and therapeutic foster care.
Our Philosophy of Care focuses on the unique needs of the individuals and families we serve, utilizes positive approaches, and emphasizes evidence-based practices for the most in effectiveness, accountability and positive outcomes.
