Gilroy Family Resource Center

The Family Resource Centers are a community partnership devoted to strengthening families in a supportive, nurturing environment. The Centers are one-stop, conveniently located operations offering on-site support groups and counseling for problems of family violence, drug/alcohol abuse, parenting effectiveness, appropriate discipline, caring for medically fragile children and other issues that can cause family dysfunction.
Special culturally sensitive services are available for Chicano/Latina, African American and Asian Pacific families. Onsite services are provided by Social Services Agency staff, County Mental Health, Public Health, Drug and Alcohol Services, sexual abuse treatment agencies, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Programs, and private agencies with specialized expertise. The Centers are open to all families; priority registration is given to SSA clients.
The Gilroy branch of the Santa Clara County Family Resource Center offers several services to its community members. A few of the services offered by the agency include assistance with family court, resources for children, family counseling and treatment for domestic violence; treating batterers as well as victims.
