Helpers Community Inc

Helpers Community Inc provides resource support for Adults with I/DD, and the organizations that serve this community.

We do this in three ways;
A job training and mentoring program through our retail store
Two residential homes which house nine adults with I/DD
An award grant program that enables service providers financial support for infrastructure and job training programs

The renovations are complete. Both of our beautiful, stately San Francisco houses are once again a place to call home. Helper’s opened both as residential care homes  through a collaboration with the Janet Pomeroy Recreation and Rehabilitation Center.

Residents enjoy daytime activities out in the community and at the Pomeroy Center. When they are at home, they can relax, share meals and participate in the celebrations of life, like birthdays, holidays and other special occasions.

HELPERS COMMUNITY cares deeply about nonprofits who enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Helpers Community is dedicated to supporting nonprofit agencies and individuals that help those who provide residential care, recreation, and job training programs to Adults with developmental disabilities. Helpers Community grants funds to 501c3 organizations that serve individuals with developmental disabilities, with priority being those in the state of California.
