Joy & Laughter Developmental Therapy also known as “JLD-Therapy” is an up and coming pediatric therapy clinic providing services for children birth to age 15. We want to provide families with comprehensive services to address all areas of concern. Currently our staff is providing services for speech therapy, occupational therapy, and feeding therapy. Services can be provided in either the home or a center-based program. Therapy can be provided in a 1:1 child therapist ratio or as part of a small group based on the needs of each child.

Therapy methods used are based on current empirical evidence and research in the field. Therapists continue to learn and educate themselves in advances in their respective fields and similar fields. We strive to provide a transdisiplinary approach where we are able to approach the child’s difficulties from many perspectives to help the child develop their maximum potential. Therapy sessions designed to fit each child’s needs and aim to make work seem more like play. Childhood is meant to be fun, so we try to let children lead therapy as much as possible while still providing the structure and intervention they need.

Therapists are training in treating children with and without diagnosed disabilities who are having difficulties in one of their areas of development. Diagnoses frequently seen in the clinic include but are not limited to neurological disorders, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), cerebral palsy (CP), epilepsy, attention deficit disorder (ADD) and  attention deficit  hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sensory dysfunctions, picky eaters and problem feeders, speech/language delays,  articulation, fine/gross motor impairment, and  behavioral difficulties.
