Lorna is a tax and estate planning attorney with over 19 years of experience. She holds a Master of Laws in Taxation, which she received cum laude from the University of San Diego in 2002. Her primary focus is special needs planning – estate planning and limited conservatorship for families with loved ones with disabilities. She assists families in preserving needs-based governmental benefits and maximizing the quality of life for loved ones with disabilities. She also works with families to prevent harm and exploitation of loved ones with developmental disabilities though limited conservatorships.
Lorna also works closely with non-profit organizations, assisting organizations with everything from formation to foundation management services. She has served on the Board of Directors of Angels on Stage, a theater troupe for children with differing abilities; and currently serves as Board Chair of Special Kids Crusade, a non-profit organization serving children with disabilities and their families in the Monterey Bay area; and PACE – Pacific Autism Center for Education. Lorna is licensed to practice in California, Nevada and Arizona and served on the 2010 and 2011 Disability Awareness Day Committee for San Jose, and the 2010 and 2011 Disability Awareness Night Committee (San Jose Giants event).
