Deepa has over 15 years of experience and has worked with both public and private schools throughout the bay area and San Francisco. She serves students of all age ranges, in particular those diagnosed with Dyslexia, ADHD, executive function challenges, as well as Dyscalculia. She is a member of the AET (Association of Educational Therapists).
Instruction is tailored to your child’s needs and strengths. Our goal is to build their confidence and foundational skills to help them achieve success. We work with students to build self -advocacy skills as well as strategies to become better learners.

Informal assessments are also conducted to provide a better picture of your child’s needs and challenges. Assessments provide a baseline so we can create a customized plan to support your child.

I am an Educational Therapist and have been working with students of all age ranges for over fifteen years. I have served students throughout San Francisco, and the East Bay including those in San Ramon, Lafayette, and Walnut Creek.
My focus has been to help address needs in reading, writing, math, executive function, homework support, as well as self-advocacy skills. I have served students with Dyslexia, ADHD, visual and auditory processing as well as executive function. I received my Master’s Degree in Literacy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of California, Davis. I also obtained a Teaching Credential in Mild to Moderate Disabilities from California State University, Sacramento.
I have utilized various curricula and multi-sensory techniques and I am trained in Orton-Gillingham. I draw from curriculums such as Seeing Stars, Step up to Writing, Touch Math, Woodin Math, as well as Dimensions Math (Singapore Math). Lastly, I incorporate elements of mindfulness into my teaching to help students manage anxiety.
We have offices in Lafayette and Walnut Creek, CA and can meet with families in Oakland and virtually!
