Parenting a child with a disability presents unique challenges, but you are not alone. The staff at the Parent Training and Information Center understands and can provide the help, support and information you may need. Since 1975, the New Hampshire Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) has been supporting families who have a child with a disability. PTI collaborates with families, schools and agencies thruoghout the state. Our vision is that all children with disabilities will have successful educational experiences that will prepare them to be actively involved in the community as adults.

Parent Information Center of New Hampshire oversees the following programs

  • PIC On Special Education. Provides telephone assistance, workshops, and information related to special education.
  • AFC (Advocates for Families of Children with Disabilities). Provides consultations and technical assistance.
  • Race 2K (formerly known as NH SSECT) Supports the transition from Early Supports and Services to preschool special education.
  • NH Family Voices. Library and resources for parents with children with disabilities or special health care needs.
  • Prevention Makes Cents. Helps prevent and reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect through school-based prevention education and parent support programming.
