Pathway Enterprises, Inc.
Pathway Enterprises, Inc. is committed to ensuring adults with disabilities are offered opportunities to live, work, and recreate in their communities so they may experience personal growth, integration and independence.
Our vision is to educate and support individuals and their teams to ensure adults with disabilities have opportunities to thrive in their environments by providing awareness, education and training that will lead to meaningful living, work, and community connections.
Pathway Enterprises, Inc. began as Southern Oregon Training and Habilitation which incorporated in May of 1985 to provide homes and work opportunities for residents of Southern Oregon who were residing at Fairview Training Center, Oregon’s State Institution for adults and children with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. In 1986 we opened four homes in the Rogue Valley. In 1988, Pathway started the first apartment supported-living program for developmentally disabled adults in Jackson County. This ultimately evolved into two additional separate residential homes in Medford.
During the spring of 1993, Pathway expanded into Northern California where we took over management of the Siskiyou Adult Development Center, an adult day care and training facility, in Montague. We soon moved the center to Yreka, just 20 miles south of the Oregon border, and established EZ-Lite Log Company, producing logs and fire starters out of wax and recycled cardboard, with production labor provided by workers with disabilities from northern California. In 2011 Pathway leased the Yreka business to Goodwill Industries, giving Pathway the opportunity to focus on Oregon based housing and employment.
