Therapy & Coaching for Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD
PATRICIA ROBINSON MFT
Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s, ADD and ADHD, and other special needs can all be overwhelming. You may be dealing with depression or anxiety, difficulty in relationships, or issues with organization and problem solving. As a therapist and coach, focusing on individuals with special needs, I can help. I work remotely with teens and adults, as well as parents, couples and professionals. I offer video and phone sessions to clients in California.
In addition to my education in Counseling Psychology, I hold a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in engineering from MIT. I have worked as a psychotherapist for the last decade after spending 15 years as a high-tech engineer, which makes me uniquely qualified to develop a goal-directed and practical approach to therapy. I am particularly mindful of the ideal way to adapt therapy to my clients’ strengths and personalities, rather than asking them to adapt to the typical therapy model.
I am located in Danville, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area’s East Bay, and I have historically worked with clients from Contra Costa County, Alameda County, and other neighboring counties. With the recent shift toward teletherapy, I’m now able to offer services to clients throughout the entire state of California. My individual clients range from teenagers to young adults and adults. I also work extensively on coaching parents of special needs children and teens, and provide counseling for couples struggling with differences in interpersonal and social connections.
