San Jose State University – Occupational Therapy Clinics
San Jose State Department of Occupational Therapy offers free/donation based OT by their program students.
There are three programs:
Pediatric Clinics:
WHO CAN BE REFERRED Any child between ages 2.9 years to 13 years can be referred for Occupational Therapy at SJSU. Your child can be self- referred (parents, caregivers etc.) or by a physician, teacher, nurse or public agency. WHEN DOES THIS CLINIC HAPPEN The pediatric clinic runs for approximately 14 weeks and begins in September for the Fall semester and February for the Spring semester. It runs from 3:30-4:30 every Tuesday and Thursday. WHERE DOES THIS CLINIC HAPPEN We have 3 treatment areas for the pediatric clinic. Central Classroom Building (CCB) Room 114, 115 and an outdoor treatment area.
Mental Health Clinic:
Location The clinic is located at the San Jose State University campus in the Central Classroom Building (CCB), Room 115. Meeting times Group activities and one on one student/client support is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 – 10:15 AM during the Fall and Spring semesters. Generally, the Fall semester starts in early September and finishes in early December and the Spring semester starts in early February and finishes in early May . Fees A sliding scale is provided for those needing financial assistance and any donation, no matter the amount, is appreciated. A donation of $100.00 per semester is suggested to cover supply costs including all activities, craft projects, refreshments, and holiday cooking celebrations.
