Ken Prodger is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF).

Ken provides comprehensive holistic financial advice regarding special needs trusts, life care planning, letters of intent, and how to obtain and preserve need based government benefits.   These areas are in addition to typical financial concerns that families have, such as retirement planning and investment management.

Parents are often overwhelmed with therapy, IEP’s and countless other issues.  Parents worry about the financial implications of having a child with special needs; they often don’t have the time or energy to address those issues.  Planning is critical, especially because “typical” financial planning rules may not apply. Ken guides parents through the special needs financial planning process so that everyone, from siblings to future caregivers, understands the child’s life care plan. Parents receive a written long-term comprehensive financial plan that provides a path to follow, helping to ensure that their child’s needs – and the money to pay for them – will continue for the child’s lifetime.

Ken has a son with special needs and is a past board member and President of Parents Helping Parents (PHP), a non–profit for special needs families and parents.  He is a native Californian and received his Master’s Degree  from the University of San Francisco.

Each of his financial planning clients receive their own personal wealth management website.  Clients can monitor progress with their financial plan and even strategize through cash flow analysis and “what if’ scenarios.
