Food Aid

Produce Mondays, Monthly Food Distributions, and the School Weekend Food Program are some of the food services we provide to low-income Sunnyvale clients.

Financial Support

Sunnyvale Community Services provided emergency financial aid to approximately 4,700 people in 2016. Financial assistance includes help with rent, rental deposits, utility bills, medically-related bills, and pass-through direct assistance.

Challenge Diabetes Program (CDP)

In partnership with El Camino Healthcare District and Second Harvest Food Bank, eligible clients receive monthly bags of diabetic-friendly food and information on diabetes management and prevention.

School Weekend Food Program

Every Thursday and Friday during the school year, SCS distributes extra bags of kid-friendly food onsite at select Title I low-income schools in Sunnyvale.

Backpack Day

Each August SCS distributes brand new backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies and a shoe gift card to clients with school-age children so that they can start the new school year ready from head-to-toe.

Holiday Center

The holidays are bright at Sunnyvale Community Services! Every December we give our families the opportunity to shop with dignity for new toys for each of their children, a new gift for their home, and two weeks’ worth of food.

Services are funded in whole or in part by the City of Sunnyvale.
