Our goal is for your child to discover, share, and interact with peers and adults.

Services:

Assessment services:

We provide behavioral, language, cognitive, social skills and adaptive evaluations and assessments to identify needs, current functioning levels, develop goals, and formulate treatment recommendations. We also work with other professionals to describe and identify appropriate placement options.

Intervention services:

Intervention can be comprehensive or focused, intensive or partial, and vary depending on the age and needs of each individual. Regardless of which option you choose, we know that participation by family members, caregivers, and other involved professionals multiplies the benefits of intervention, that is why it’s part of all our treatment programs.

  • Early intervention for very young children (below age 3) who are showing signs of developmental delay and are at risk for a diagnosis of ASD. Treatment averages 6-30 hours per week (as they get closer to age 3) with an emphasis on reaching critical markers that characterize normal developmental and learning processes. • Intensive intervention 25-40 hours of direct intervention per week; comprehensive (includes multiple domains) emphasis is on remediating core deficits of autism and other developmental delays.
  • Partial programs for children and adolescents 10-25 hours direct intervention per week; emphasis is on remediating core features of ASD and other developmental delays.
  • Focused behavioral intervention for children and adolescents addresses 1-2 behavioral targets, which may include self-help skills and reduction of behavior problems that interfere with learning, functioning, and development.
  • Social functioning for improved independence -We have a range of programs that focus on helping children and adolescents learn the skills they need to successfully navigate the social world. Our Kids Helping Kids program, Friendship Club, and Take Action (for teens) programs use behavioral skills training, parent training and support, and homework assignments to promote transfer of skills between home, school, and community settings. An emphasis is placed on teaching self-monitoring and self-evaluation to promote independent functioning.

We offer autism treatment for multiple age groups including:

Young children autism services

Adolescent  autism services

Teen and adult autism services

Each of the six Kendall Centers offers intensive behavior and language therapy for individuals with autism. Ages 0-18.

Severe Behavior

We recognize the gap in services for individuals with serve behavior disorders. The Behavior Center (TBC), a joint venture between Therapeutic Pathways and The Shabani Institute, specializes in the assessment, prevention, and treatment of severe behavior disorders. Our goal is to ensure that individuals with severe behavior challenges in Northern California receive the treatment needed to address problem behaviors that interfere with independence, full participation in the community, and a higher quality of life for individuals and their families.

Our two Behavior Centers in California offer prevention and treatment plans for ASD and non-ASD individuals with severe behavior disorders. Ages 6-36.
