The Long Island Advocacy Center (LIAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and their families to ensure access to appropriate education and services.
At LIAC, we believe in the fundamental rights of every individual to receive quality education and support services tailored to their unique needs. Our team of experienced advocates, and attorneys, works tirelessly to protect these rights by providing comprehensive advocacy services, legal representation, and educational resources.

- The LIAC will help you with solutions to school problems such as discipline, truancy, suspensions, residency disputes and inappropriate placements.

- Information, referral, technical and individual support services empowering families that are struggling with the special education process
FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES
- Access to Independence
- The LIAC provides families support with service coordination information and benefits advisement .
FOR FAMILIES AND PROFESSIONALS
- Knowledge and Resources
- The LIAC provides outreach and trainings in relevant laws, regulations, and advocacy skills to family members, students, educators, probation officers and other professionals.
