The Tourette Association of America Northern California & Hawaii Chapter is a volunteer led, nonprofit organization supporting the needs of individuals and families affected by Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. We are committed to raising public awareness and fostering social acceptance; advancing scientific understanding, treatment options and care; educating professionals to better serve the needs of children, adults and families challenged by Tourette and Tic Disorders; advocating for public policies and services that promote positive school, work and social environments; Providing help, hope and a supportive community across the nation; and empowering our community to deal with the complexities of this spectrum of disorders.
At the Tourette Association of America we are dedicated to providing the most comprehensive resources and support for all of those in the Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorder community. This page lists a wealth of information on a variety of topics. In addition, our robust Resource Directory is a fully searchable, comprehensive database on all topics related to Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. We understand that this disorder presents uniquely across all individuals. One size does not fit all, so we encourage you to reach out and get involved. We employ full-time Information and Referral staff who are available to assist you in both English and Spanish. Thank you so much for reaching out to the Tourette Association of America (TAA). Our Norcal/Hawaii chapter has the following four active support groups serving Northern California: (1) East Bay in Concord (2) Sacramento (3) Monterey and (4) Fresno. Our meetings are open to individuals and families living with TS or to supporters who want to make a difference. We welcome all ages and encourage people to bring their family members as well. It might help if you join our FB and yahoogroups pages in order to get announcements on upcoming meetings.
