The Vietnamese American Service Center (VASC) opened its doors on December 13, 2021 for the Soft Opening. In the first month of operations, the VASC served as a Cold Weather Warming Center, a COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination site, distributed more than 2000 COVID-19 tests, and has officially become the largest Senior Nutrition Program in Santa Clara County, serving 500 meals a day. We will have so much more to offer as County staff continues to finish the second and third floors. Our clients and community members can expect a Valley Health Center Clinic, a Behavioral Health Clinic, Pharmacy, and Dental Clinic at the VASC this spring.

About the VASC

The Vietnamese American Service Center is a 37,000 sq. ft. County facility serving as a one-stop hub for the County’s health and human services, facilitating service delivery and client engagement in a culturally competent and language-accessible manner. Located in the heart of Little Saigon and east San Jose, the purpose of the VASC is to address health disparities in the Vietnamese American and local community. In doing so, the VASC will be a definitive model for integrated and accessible health and human services while serving as a gateway for other County, community, and government resources. Services include a Behavioral Health Clinic, Valley Health Center, Dental Clinic, Pharmacy, social services, senior nutrition program, on-site child supervision, a suite of community programming to promote wellness, and more.

Our staff and partners are onsite to assist with the following resources:

  • COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine Support
  • Behavioral Health Peer Support Services
  • CalFresh and CalWORKS Application Assistance
  • Resources from Reentry program
