The Learning Disabilities (LD) Lecture Series and Support Group is currently on hold while we redevelop the program and seek new volunteer leadership.
Ideally, we are looking for 2-3 volunteers, co-facilitators, to work together and lead an online group. If you are interested in helping with this, please contact Marlee@php.com.
In the meantime, we have partnered with other organizations to create webinars on important topics related to LD. These can be found in our E-Learning section.
Additionally, find other organizations in the “Helpful Information” menu that offer support for parents. One good resource for those who “learn and think differently” is Understood for All. This organization has deep archives with many good posts and videos on their WEBSITE, and an app for iPhones called Wunder. Download Understood’s list of 6 common myths about learning and thinking differences to share with family, friends, teachers, or other supporters of your child.
Please check back for updates from PHP! If you live in the Bay Area and have any questions, contact us at 408-727-5775 and ask to speak with an Education Specialist!
