You are not alone…come to learn, share, and receive support during difficult times so that you can bring balance to your life!
SOS stands for Saving Our Sanity and is a weekly support group for parents and caregivers of children with special needs. Parenting can be hard at times…and when your family includes someone with special needs, it can be all the more difficult and overwhelming. Parents Helping Parents understands this and offers this support group led by an LMFT, licensed marriage and family therapist.
The program is broken down into 8-week series with individual sessions all discussing a related topic. The meetings are weekly on Wednesday night. During each 1-hour session, there are 15-minutes of “help and hope” shared by the LMFT on a topic that changes each week, followed by time for guests to share their struggles, victories, and support each other. It’s great to attend an entire series but it’s not necessary. Come when you are able!
Please register for each weekly event. You can do this using the REGISTER button on this page.

This group is not a replacement for individual therapy. If you need individualized help, check the PHP Resource Directory to find local mental health professionals who work with parents and families with special needs children.
If you are in crisis, please call 911. Don’t suffer in silence! There are community supports for you. Each county has Behavioral Health Services.
