As the parent of a student who struggled with learning issues, I returned to school to get my Masters in Special Education, Mild/Moderate disorders. I discovered that creating a Personal Learning Style Profile for the students I work with in my school and for my own child, has allowed each member of the teaching team to work better together at the school. This also gives the student a voice and together everyone has a better understanding of how the strengths and weaknesses of this particular student can best be addressed.

A Personal Learning Profile will take the data from the psychologist’s report and give you a tool for implementing the recommendations into an action plan. This plan will provide a simple description of the student’s strengths vs weaknesses, translating the student’s needs into actions a teacher can implement immediately.

Brief Overview of Services Provided: Advocacy, some levels of Assessment, Assistive Technology recommendations, Behavior Management plans for Organizational concerns and ADHD populations, and Specific Learning Disabilities as identified in an IEP.
