We are excited to announce that effective July 1, 2022, Via Services officially became affiliated with AbilityPath, making the newly combined nonprofit one of the largest providers of services for individuals with developmental disabilities on the Peninsula, offering the most comprehensive portfolio of services throughout a person’s lifetime. Both organizations share a common mission and vision for the future: ensuring those we serve achieve their full potential and are included in all aspects of our community – from the classroom to the workplace.

AbilityPath has been a cornerstone of our community for 100 years, providing a lifespan of support services to individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities in the greater Bay Area. Our mission is to empower people with special needs to achieve their full potential through innovative, inclusive programs and community partnerships. With educational, therapeutic, vocational, and family support services, we are distinctive in providing support to an individual throughout their lifetime. We collaborate with businesses, third-party providers, local nonprofits, and various organizations to bring the highest quality services to the children, youth, and adults in our programs. Together, we are creating a world where people of all abilities are fully accepted, respected, and included in all aspects of life – in the classroom, the workplace, and in our communities. Join us in “Turning Disabilities into Possibilities.”

With educational, therapeutic, vocational, and family support services, AbilityPath is distinctive in providing support to individuals throughout their lifetime. Our comprehensive services are designed to help children and adults thrive at school, work, home, and in the community.

Learning Links enrolls children with special needs and provides appropriate supports for each child to be successful in the classroom, including special education staff and expertise wherever it is needed. We offer an Inclusion Program within our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. Our inclusion teachers partner with families to determine the developmental and educational goals for each child. They also work in collaboration with the other classroom teachers to adapt the general education curriculum to best support each child.

In addition, we offer a Special Day Program at our Burlingame center to help children with special needs achieve their full potential and facilitate the implementation of an individualized education plan.
